When I was in college I worked as a waitress, and one thing I didn’t like about the restaurant I worked as was they pooled the tips. I felt I did a better job than most of the other ladies there, and I deserved what was given to me. It did not make sense to me to pool it and they get my tips. One night after work I decided to take some money out of the tip jar I felt was rightfully mine a customer had given me earlier. He’d been very generous and I did not want to share it. <\/p>\n

The owner saw me take it. He was coming out of his office when he saw me dipping my hand into the tip jar and asked what I thought I was doing. I told him.
