Be Yourself

Some may think homosexuality is a perversion, but I think the real perversion is in not accepting ones for who they are. How can someone that is a decent, loving, productive tax paying, law abiding citizen be demonized simply because of what they do with another consenting adult behind closed doors? That is the true perversion, casting someone aside that is a good person.

There are actually organizations out there, religious based ones of course, that try to reverse ones homosexuality. That to me is not only laughable, but insulting as well. Yes, you can choose not to act on your feelings, but that doesn’t make you any less gay just because you’re not practicing it.

I feel badly for ones born into conservative, religious families that have a lifelong pressure to hide who they are as people because the close minded individuals around them deem them “sinners”.

Organizations like that are making people feel bad for who they are as people. That no matter how much you contribute to society, how upstanding a person you are, if you are gay, none of that matters, you are a degenerate and a sinner. Such nonsense, I can’t even wrap my mind around how the majority of people live their lives according to a book of fables, it’s astounding to me. I’m so grateful I’m sensible! If you are gay, I’m not saying get on a parade float and flaunt who you are, there’s nothing wrong with discretion, especially considering the close minded majority in society, but don’t ever buy into any nonsense about going to anti gay deprogramming seminars.
