Sometimes callers are interested in hypnosis. Some call and think they are actually hypnotizing me, which is always a hoot. They are paying me, and they are always longer calls, they are paying me to talk relaxing to me and make me think they are sending me into some altered state of consciousness. And truth be told, it is relaxing to listen to them drone on, but they are in no way hypnotizing me.
I can multi task and answer emails, write away as they count me down from 100 etc., silly men…Then we have the more high maintenance ones that want me to hypnotize them. Well I have no such professional credentials, nor do I claim to, and am always upfront about that, and most women that do offer “erotic hypnosis” also have no training, and even ones that do, anyone knows you can “get certified” online or at a 1-2 day course, so it’s no great feather in your cap to claim to be a certified hypnotist in the first place, anyone with a few hundred bucks and a weekend can get that important piece of paper.
But they want a certain kind of voice, and that I do have, and some like to write scripts and have you read them carefully, slowly, at a measured pace to have them play back and get themselves into some sort of “trance”. I well recall the first caller that told me I’d put him into “some sort of trance”. I did? Me? Apparently, was news to me, I must say, and I’ve been doing it to some ever since, though it escapes me how, I’m usually not meaning to in the first place!
