Some people think robots should not be designed to be like sex toys. Sex toys have been around for centuries for the most part with no ill effects on the male female relationship, so why should sex robots be any different? They are in effect just bigger, more advanced sex toys. People could fall in love with their robots however in a way that you do not fall in love with your dildo or vibrator.
For lonely people or ones seeking variety outside their relationship, sex robots could prove to be a wonderful addition to the sexual repertoire. Is it cheating if it’s a non living object you are getting off with? I think not, it could in effect save many relationships and cut down on sexually transmitted diseases. People that were into children sexually and face severe criminal charges due to that could also benefit, they could get a robot that looked like a child and felt like a child and have sex with that, but not break any laws since it wouldn’t be a real child. Many would have issue with that, but in reality it’s a very good solution and would satisfy their desires without actually putting them at risk of going to prison.
The silicone sex dolls that are currently already available at the cost of many thousands of dollars will seem crude in comparison to the sex robots to come in the coming decades, but of course as with all things, at first they will only be for the wealthy as they would be very advanced machines. The benefits are incredible though, say you have a wife or a girlfriend that doesn’t want to perform certain sex acts, you could have a robot made that looks exactly like them and have the robot do them, talk about the next best thing! Imagine celebrities allowing their likeness to be used for models, the way porn stars do now for certain dolls and sex toys, you could have your very own look a like sex robot and have wild nights of passion with a toy that never tired, never needed a Viagra, it will be huge once it’s mass available.
