We all have things that we enjoy doing that enhance our sex lives, some are into sex toys, others have a fetish for something or another. Some like to be tied up, blindfolded etc. However when one can only be aroused while these accessories are involved, it’s considered a paraphilia and ones have actually gotten treatment for it when it gets extreme. I recall a man calling once that said he could only masturbate with gloves on, leather gloves, plastic dishwashing gloves.
I found that quite odd, harmless obliviously, but odd. If that’s the only way you get enjoyment it’s taken an odd turn there somewhere. For some I guess their little routines are fairly harmless and at the most time consuming rituals, and perhaps expensive, depending on the circumstances involved for the fetish in question. Like if a man could only have sex in a hotel to orgasm, that might prove a bit expensive a habit to indulge in frequently kind of thing as an example. It’s nice as a once in a while treat, but when it has to be that way in order to be enjoyable, there’s an issue.
Most don’t go overboard and most understand it’s a once in a while thing, not an everyday necessity. It’s really only when it starts to affect your job or routines in life or finances that it becomes a true issue. Many start in the teen years and keep on into adulthood, usually outgrown to a degree, but can remain a trigger for years and many keep such things from their partner if the partner isn’t into the same sort of thing becoming a stressor if they are worried about getting caught.
